2-ply High Twist 85/15 SW Extrafine Merino/Nylon

The main factor determining the quality of merino wool is its softness which depends upon the fineness of the fibres. We use extrafine merino and a little nylon to produce a very soft and springy yarn resulting in a supersoft yarn that feels gentle against the skin. Two plies are twisted tightly together making the yarn slightly bumpy, which helps the strands of yarn hold together against each other; this makes it great for colourwork and lace work. The thicker strands also help speckles pop even more.This yarn is so versatile and can be used for any next to skin project (scarves, jumpers etc) as well as items where a little more durability is required such as socks and gloves.
